Devin Roddick was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, where his family's deep roots in the community shaped his early life. After completing his secondary education, Devin moved to Ontario to pursue post-secondary studies in Construction Engineering. Following his graduation, he returned to Yarmouth, exploring various odd jobs while reflecting on his career aspirations.

It soon became clear to Devin that a career in construction was not where his passion lay. In 2009, he made a significant life change by joining the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). His tenure with the RCMP took him to various detachments across Saskatchewan, where he honed his skills and dedicated himself to serving the public.

In 2024, Devin faced the difficult decision to retire early to support his aging family. This choice allowed him to reconnect with loved ones, and he and his wife were overjoyed to return to Yarmouth with their four children, finally living close to family after several years apart.

In his leisure time, Devin enjoys playing basketball with his children, fostering their athletic growth and encouraging family bonding. He also has a passion for chess, which his wife humorously notes could be considered a mild obsession. Devin is committed to serving the Yarmouth and Tri-County area, where he aims to make a positive impact in the community. Fluent in both English and French, he values the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of individuals and families.
